Walk Trail Map 2

TRAIL INFORMATION

  • DISTANCE:

    1.68km

  • TIME NEEDED:

    1 Hour

  • TRAIL DESCRIPTION:

This walk trail first follows the southern boundary of the Warwick Senior High School. There are many hollowed Tuart and Jarrah trees on this walk, making it an excellent place to watch our local Parrot and Cockatoo population. This south-west section of the reserve is prone to a wide range of human disturbances. Frequent bush fires, weed invasion and rubbish dumping are among some of the problems you will see. Despite this many of the original plants, animals and fungi are still present. In late spring/early summer the Chestnut Sun Orchid flowers along this trail and from Sept. to April Rainbow Bee-eaters hunt for insects in the valley along Lloyd Drive.
