TRAIL DESCRIPTION:
From the limestone car park south of the tennis courts this track loops around the south-east corner of the Conservation Reserve initially through one of the best condition areas. Lots of small bird species inhabit this area, including Weebills, Pardalotes, Yellow-rumped Thornbills and during summer the migratory Rainbow Bee Eater. This area is also home to the rare Graceful Sun Moth which can be seen on hot days in Feb. & March. There is a large grove of "Grass Trees" in the disturbed area closer to Wanneroo Rd. While many have short trunks they are not truly trees. When flowering they attract many fascinating insects to their tall flower spikes.
